Adult Secondary Education
South San Francisco Adult Education (SSFAE) offers Adult Secondary Education for students 18 years and older who need to earn a high school diploma or complete the HiSET. This free program allows students to learn at their own pace and begin their studies at any time during the year.
All coursework for the High School Diploma and HiSET is completed through Edgenuity, an online learning platform. Students work independently and are required to log in for a minimum of 5 hours per week. Support from a teacher is available by appointment.
Students who earn their High School Diploma through SSFAE are invited to participate in a graduation ceremony held in the Gym/Multi-Use Room at Baden High School, celebrating this important milestone.
To get started, students must register online, attend an orientation, and complete the CASAS reading comprehension assessment. Details on scheduling the CASAS test will be provided during orientation.
For more information or to schedule an appointment with a school counselor to discuss your options, please contact South San Francisco Adult Education at (650) 827-8455.
